The Eastport Girls Club dedicated their new meeting and study space, “The Zone” at the Eastport Community Center on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Guest Speaker, Janice Hayes-William, spoke at well-attended event. A very special presentation was given by the members of the girls of the Girls Club along with the ribbon cutting ceremony. 

Dinner was provided by Eastport Civic Association, Eastport United Methodist Church, St. Luke's, Mt. Zion, and Unitarian Universalist churches, following the dedication.
